Over the OBSTACLES
Teen activists are people who change the world, community, or even household. You may not know, but seven in ten people are activists. Many teen activists have obstacles to face. For example; no way of spreading the word, people not knowing the importance of the cause, or people just standing in the way.
One obstacle teen activists face are no way of spreading the word. For example, Iqbal Masih had no way of spreading the word about child labor because he was trapped in a home or factory making rugs all day. Another example of an activist having no way to spread the word, is Malala Yousafzai, a teen activist who fought for girls rights in education. Malala had no way of spreading the word, because the Taliban were after her, if Malala spoke up anymore, the Taliban could have done worse.
Another obstacle activists face is people not knowing the importance of the cause that the activist is trying to spread. For example, When Malala was trying to let girls into school, no one knew that thirty-two million girls were already out of school worldwide. Same thing with Alex Lin. No one knew e-waste was that big of a problem until Alex Lin showed his city in Rhode Island how it is ruining the earth.
The third obstacle activists face is people standing in the activists way. Malala Yousafzai had people out for her; the Taliban. The Taliban were not that much of an obstacle to Malala, because even though Malala was attacked by the Taliban, she never gave up.
Most teen activists have strong causes, but they will always have obstacles in order to make it happen. There might be people in her way, no way of spreading the word, or people not knowing the importance of the activists cause. But activists will always find a way to get through the obstacles. It has been proven that one in two activists still take time to help their cause even after they have been stopped.
